Our Veterinary Services

Wellness Exams

At The Veterinary Clinic, we are committed to keeping your pet happy and healthy, and regular wellness exams are the most important component of this goal.  We provide thorough physical examinations, necessary vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Surgery

We are equipped and experienced to provide a wide range of surgeries, from routine spays and neuters, to more specialized procedures, such as gastrointestinal surgery, mass removals and biopsies, and many more.  During each procedure, we provide our patients with very safe anesthetic protocols, attentive monitoring, gas anesthesia, intra-operative fluid therapy, and pain management.  When it comes to surgery, we take every precaution for your pet’s health, safety, and comfort.  Most elective surgical patients can go home the same day, but we offer hospitalized care for our more critical patients.

Diagnostic Services

In our clinic, we have an extensive in-house laboratory, allowing us to obtain fast results.  We regularly perform heartworm tests, Feline Leukemia and FIV tests, cytologic examinations, fecal flotations, pre-operative blood tests, urinalysis, Parvovirus tests, cultures, and many others.  We also have relationships with outside professional laboratories, for any other diagnostic tests required for your pet.

X-ray: Radiology is instrumental in diagnosing many diseases, from orthopedic injuries to life-threatening disorders, and is used regularly at The Veterinary Clinic.

Our extensive range of diagnostic tools for testing, monitoring, and evaluating your pet’s health means that a diagnosis can be made sooner and treatment can occur faster.

Hospitalized Care

Our hospital has the equipment needed to provide superior medical care and treatment during your pet’s stay, including: continuous rate intravenous infusions, monitoring equipment and alerts, pain management, oxygen therapy, a full pharmacy of intravenous and oral medications, and attentive observation by the veterinarians and our staff.

We understand that it is a very troubling time when your pet is ill, and you want them to not only receive the most up-to-date and appropriate medical treatment possible, but also as much compassion and attention to ensure they are comfortable while they are away from home.  This is what we strive to achieve at the Veterinary Clinic.

Dental and Oral Care

Proper dental care is extremely important in dogs and cats.  Lack of attention to teeth and gums can lead to gingivitis, periodontal disease, bone infection, tooth abscesses, and tooth loss.  Besides the unpleasant odor, oral disease is painful and can lead to diseases in other parts of the body as well.  All of our dentistry procedures are performed under anesthesia, and our patients receive pre-anesthetic bloodwork, intravenous fluid administration, continual monitoring of vital signs, and pain management during the procedure.

Pharmacy

Our clinic has a fully-stocked pharmacy with a wide range of prescription medications for your pet.  All prescription medications require an established veterinarian-patient-client relationship, so before we can prescribe any medication, please schedule an examination for our veterinarian to meet your pet.

Health Certificates for Travel

Many of our clients travel with their pets to and from the Cayman Islands. Over the last several years, most countries have imposed stricter entry requirements on pet travel, including the Cayman Islands.  If you are planning on travelling with your pet, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can help you with the proper planning.

Emergencies

We know how important time can be when your pet is sick, and we have a veterinarian on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week that will assist you and your pet in an emergency.

If you have an emergency please call our emergency line: (345) 926-1242.

Boarding

Our boarding facility has fully air-conditioned kennels with two distinct areas for cats and dogs, and operates alongside the Veterinary Clinic. The veterinarians are informed of every pet that is in our boarding facility.  They are monitored closely and medicines and treatments can be administered if required.  We understand that it can be frightening for pets to be away from their home and family, and we do everything possible to ensure they are in a low-stress environment by catering to each pets individual needs. We encourage you to bring any personal items, such as toys and blankets, but are not responsible for anything damaged during your pet’s visit. Kindly call for prices (345) 945-1242.
